Congratulations to Trevor Phillips for winning his first Men’s Spartanburg County Amateur Championship with a very impressive total three round score of 203 (-13). Trevor shot a final round score of 65. Also, congratulations to all the flight winners and thank you to the over 140 competitors for supporting The First Tee of the Upstate. Lastly, thank you to Three Pines Country Club for being such a great host!
Congratulations to Bobby Newman who shot -5 under par (139) for the tournament to win by one shot. Mr. Newman made a birdie (4) on the final hole to win the championship. Also, congratulations to Roger Page who came back from a five shot deficit after shooting an impressive -3 under par round on Friday to win The Super Senior Division by one shot. The Super Senior Division is made up of age 65 and older competitors playing from a forward set of tees.
Congratulations to Stephanie Van Inwagen for winning the Overall Women’s Championship with a total score of (159). Betty Jean Armbruster took home the Senior Championship with a total score of (160). Our Net Champion finished with a net score of (145), Ginger Finder.
Congratulations to Sophia Kinsella for winning the Girls Division of The Junior Spartanburg County Amateur with a 36-hole total of 161.
The Boys Division was shorten due to rain at Woodfin Ridge Golf Club. It was shorten to a 27 hole competition with Nathan Franks finishing with a (-6) total score of 102 for the 27 holes. Great playing Nathan!
