Congratulations to 2016 Olin Calicutt Scholars

Thanks to the generosity of Todd Sill, who wanted to honor his mentor, Olin W. Calicutt, Sr. a fund has been established at The Spartanburg County Foundation to support scholarships for participants of The First Tee of the Upstate from Spartanburg County who best exemplify the core values inherent to the game of golf as well as a passion for the sport to which Olin Calicutt dedicated his career. W. Olin Calicutt, Sr. was a beloved and respected PGA instructor for over forty years, positively impacting the abilities, aspirations and lives of many students. A friend to all he met, Olin Calicutt exhibited an unfailing love for the game of golf and a desire to inspire that love in others.

With appreciation to Todd Sill of Sill Homes for honoring his mentor, Olin W. Calicutt, Sr. through scholarships which allow Mr. Calicutt's memory to continue to grow the game of golf.
