Parents, Families, Volunteers & Coaches,
All of us at First Tee of the Upstate hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well. We would like to provide a brief update on our plans for programming going forward.
At this time we are adopting the Back2Golf Guidelines which were created by the Allied Golf Organizations in building a comprehensive and medically approved plan that allows golf to be played as a social distancing compatible recreational activity.
As of this statement SC Golf Courses remains in B2G Phase 1 with the exception that the single cart restriction has been lifted as of Monday, May 11th.
Please note that any stricter local city or county mandates continue to supersede the B2G guidance and should be strictly followed.
As we prepare to bring First Tee of the Upstate programming back to our local golf courses, please know that our staff is hard at work and coming up with new policies to put in place to keep our participants, families, staff, coaches and volunteers safe. We have already ordered masks that will be given to all participants, coaches and volunteers when we return to our programming. Hand sanitizer will be available at each class and wipes to sanitize equipment and high touch areas. More details regarding these efforts will continue to be announced.
All of our participant’s families that registered for Spring Programming should have received an email from AnnaLeis Dibert, Assistant Program Director on Monday, May 11th with options to handle your Spring Registration Fees. If you did not receive that email, please contact AnnaLeis at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Operations and services will continue as normal for our Executive Staff members, and we will maintain consistent levels of service to you and your family. Our staff is working on introducing new and innovative ways to continue to impact your young person’s lives remotely through our character education programming.
Participants are still welcome to join our new programming released on Monday, April 27th called First Tee at Home. This is a free program we are offering to new and returning participants.
We are able to continue to impact the lives of our young people because of the generous donors that support our efforts. If you are interested in donating, please click here.
Our top priorities during this time are caring for the health of our participants, volunteers, coaches, supporters and staff members. Please continue to follow local and regional guidance on the outbreak, and let us know if we can do anything for you during this challenging time.
